DUSHANBE, April 19, 2011, Asia-Plus -- Underground parking facilities are expected to be built at Dushanbe’s Sakhovat market in the near future in order to reduce traffic congestion in this area of the city, Abduvali Komilov, head of the Agency for Construction and Architecture under the Government of Tajikistan, announced at a news conference in Dushanbe on April 18.
According to him, problems facing another Dushanbe’s market, Korvon, will be tackled with opening of bypass.
He noted that a large market would be built in Dushanbe’s Zarafshon area. “The Zarafshon neighborhood is a large dormitory area, and therefore, it is necessary to build a market there,” Komilov said.
