DUSHANBE, May 5, 2011, Asia-Plus -- A new brick-making plant has reportedly been introduced into operation in Tajikistan.
Press center of the Ministry of Energy and Industries (MoEI) reports the brick-making plant, Obodkori Khujand, was introduced into operation in Sughd’s Bobojonghafurov district at the beginning of this month.
“250,000 U.S dollars have been spent for construction of this brickyard with annual capacity of 5 million bricks,” the source said, noting that 20 persons are currently working with the enterprise.
According to him, several other brickyards are expected to be introduced into operation in the country before then end of this year.
64 brick-making enterprises now operate in Tajikistan.
