DUSHANBE, October 4, 2011, Asia-Plus -- Sharif Said, the head of Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), considers that introduction of moratorium on inspection of entrepreneurs engaged in the production sphere will give a new impulse to development of entrepreneurship in the country, the CCI press center reports.
According to him, this initiative will pave the way for creation of favorable business and investment climate in Tajikistan and will promote further expansion of corporate ties.
Sharif Said expressed confidence that the inspection moratorium will have a positive impact on the real sector of the country’s economy.
We will recall that President Emomali Rahmon on September 30 signed a decree introducing moratorium on inspection of entrepreneurs engaged in the production sphere beginning on October 1. Under this decree, enterprises creating new production facilities and using new technologies for expansion of production are exempted from all kinds of inspection for three years.
This measure is reportedly aimed at promoting development of entrepreneurial activity in the production sphere, attraction of investments, modern technology deliveries into the country, creation of new production capacity and jobs, and gradual increase in domestic production.
The moratorium does not apply to enterprises against which criminal proceedings have been instituted.
