DUSHANBE, February 8, 2012, Asia-Plus -- Two information sessions on access to regional markets of the Customs Union (Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus) and distribution channels for dried fruits, nuts and honey are on in Khujand, the capital of Sughd province, and will last till February 9,
Launched on February 6, this event is organized by Hilfswerk Austria International in Tajikistan in cooperation with the Administration of Free Economic Zone “Sughd”, financed by the European Union’s Central Asia – Invest II program, “Integrated approach towards promoting Central Asian nuts, dried fruits and honey processing SMEs” project.
The overall objective of the project is inclusive development of processing sector in Central Asia through the strengthening the capacity of specialized business intermediary organizations and promoting regional integration of Central Asia in the global market.
The session is being conducted by international expert on logistics and international trade, Mr. Oleg Samukhin.
The main goal of the event is to increase the export capacity of producers and processors of Small and Medium Enterprises in the food industry in Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
