DUSHANBE, February 20, 2012, Asia-Plus -- State and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) were discussed at a meeting of Minister of Economic Development and Trade Sharif Rahimzoda with Mr. Todd Schneider, the head of IMF mission, and Mr. Ari Aizen, Permanent Representative of the International Monetary Fund in Tajikistan.
A source at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade (MoEDT) says the sides exchanged views on prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation aimed at promoting enhancement of various sectors of Tajikistan’s economy.
The IMF mission arrived in Tajikistan on a two-week visit to conduct discussions for the last Sixth Review of the Extended Credit Facility (ECF) arrangement.
