Electricity production by the power plants under Barq-i Tajik has been redduced by 23 million kWh in July in comparison to the same period last year, according to the Monitoring and Early Notification Center of the Economic Development Ministry.
It wss noted in the Center: "This is related to reduction of Tajikistan Aluminium Company''s reduced energy needs."
According to the source, the general volume of electricity production in the country in the past month consists of 1 billion 552 million kWh. In other words, 50.1 million kWh were produced in 24 hours.
The source said: "in July of this year, 168.4 million kWh were provided to Afghanistan from Sangtouda-1 and 2 through 220 kW and 110 kW channels." He added that approximately 11 per cent of the electricity produced was exported to Afghanistan.
