Over 680 thousand tons of grain is harvested in Tajikistan for the beginning of this week, as reported by the Ministry of Agriculture to Asia-Plus.
According to the source, approximately 310 thousand hectares of land were allocated for grain harvesting this year.
It was reported in the Agriculture Ministry that as of 24 August, that grain is harvested from approximately 252 hectares of land (81.2 per cent). It is said that grain yield was 28 quintals per hectare.
The source underlined that currently 130 combines are used throughout the country for grain harvest. “Grain harvest campaign is ongoing in all the regions of the country,” he said.
Last year grain was harvested in 315.4 thousand hectares, and 891.5 thousand tons were collected.
