DUSHANBE, September 16, 2014, Asia-Plus -- A Tajik-Austrian forum formally entitled “Economic and Investment Opportunities of Tajikistan” took place in Vienna at the end of the last week.
Tajik delegation that participated in the forum was led by the First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Nematjon Bouriyev, according to the Tajik MFA information department.
Organized by the Tajik Embassy in Vienna in cooperation with the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber under support of the Ministry of Economic development and Trade of Tajikistan, the event reportedly brought together representatives of the Tajik and Austrian business communities and senior officials from the ministries and agencies of both countries.
Tajik delegation presented a number of investment projects at the forum and provided detailed information about laws adopted by the Tajik government to protect investors’ rights and free economic zones operating in Tajikistan, the source said.
The Tajik delegation head reportedly invited the forum participants to attend Tajik president’s meeting with entrepreneurs and investors as well as the Economic Investment Forum 2014 that will take place in Dushanbe from October 15-17 this year.
