DUSHANBE, September 23, 2014, Asia-Plus – This year, AccessHolding’s Supervisory Board held its annual meeting at the head office of AccessBank Tajikistan in Dushanbe in the first half of September, According to AccessBank Tajikistan’s head office in Dushanbe.
Besides, members of the AccessHolding Supervisory Board also met with top managers of AccessBank Tajikistan and heads of its regional branches at a new Dushanbe office of AccessBank Tajikistan in the Sozidaniye Business Center. The meeting reportedly focused on issues related to further development of the financial institution.
Members of the Access Holding Supervisory Board also held a meeting with the Bank’s customers and visited their enterprises.
Within the governance structure of Access Holding, the Supervisory Board is responsible for the determination of the general business strategy, the appointment of the Management Board members, the monitoring of operational activities and the decision on all investments or divestments. The Supervisory Board is not involved in the day-to-day operative business of the Holding.
Access Microfinance Holding AG („AccessHolding“) was established in 2006 by a group of international shareholders from the public and private sectors. The business purpose of AccessHolding is to build up and control a network of commercial banks in developing and transition countries (the “AccessGroup”) with a target group focus on micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). The AccessGroup currently comprises eight member banks in Sub-Saharan Africa, Central Asia and the Caucasus. Further banks will be added successively in these and other regions. AccessBank Tajikistan, which is part of the worldwide AccessHolding bank network, officially opened its doors on April 7, 2010. The Bank’s headquarter is located at the central market Korvon with three additional branches and one CSD (Customer Service Department) in the capital Dushanbe, one branch in Khujand, one in Tursunzoda and a recently opened branch in Qurghon Teppa.
Aiming at a countrywide facilitated access to financing, AccessBank plans to expand its branch network throughout all regions of Tajikistan over the next 5 years to come.
The Bank offers a wide range of financial services for micro-, small and medium enterprises in Tajikistan. Furthermore the Bank aims at a gradual introduction of other financial products, including agricultural, housing and consumer loans, as well as exchange and other banking services for current and future clients.
