DUSHANBE, November 10, 2014, Asia-Plus -- State and prospects of bilateral economic cooperation between Tajikistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran were a major topic of a meeting of Sharif Said, Head of Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), with Seyed Mahmoud Sadri, a caretaker Ambassador of the Islamic Iran to Tajikistan, which took place here at the end of last week.
According to the CCI press center, CCI head briefed Iranian diplomat on his meeting with Seyed Alireza Sadrzadeh, Head of Iran''s Exhibition Projects, and press conference with representatives of Tajik and foreign media sources dedicated to the Iran Expo 2014 that will take place in Dushanbe from November 12-15.
Sharif Said reportedly expressed hope that the upcoming exhibition will promote further expansion of the economic cooperation between the two countries.
Seyed Mahmoud Sadri, for his part, noted that Iran is interested in expansion of cooperation with Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry and pointed to the necessity of establishing more active exchange of information, the source said.
