DUSHANBE, November 17, 2014, Asia-Plus – The 14th Session of the Consultative Council on Improvement of Investment Climate under the President of Tajikistan, presided over by President Emomali Rahmon, took place in Dushanbe on November 17.
Prior to the beginning of the Session, Emomali Rahmon has welcomed the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Sir Suma Chakrabarti, as well as highly appreciated the Bank’s support for implementation of economic reforms and infrastructure projects.
Sir Suma Chakrabarti, for his part, spoke on the future role of the Bank in development of the economy and improvement of investment climate in Tajikistan.
Qodir Qosim, the Council’s Executive Secretary and Chairman of the State Committee on Investment and State-owned Property Management (GosKomInvest), reported on the results of monitoring of implementation of decisions of Consultative Council’s sessions.
Khatlon governor Davlatsho Gulmahmadzoda made a report on improvement of investment and business climate in Khatlon province.
Chairman of the Committee on Architecture and Construction under the Government of Tajikistan, Abduvali Komilzoda, made a report on the process of implementation of the Program on Support of Construction Companies on Improvement of Investment and Business Climate in Construction Sector for 2012-2014.
Abdujabbor Shirinov, Chairman of National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT), delivered a statement on the results of the Working Group on development of secondary market for securities and stock exchange in Tajikistan.
Chairman of Tajik Banks’ Association, Izatullo Lalbekov, delivered a report on the share of private sector in development of secondary market for securities and stock exchange.
