DUSHANBE, December 11, 2014, Asia-Plus – An international scientific and practical conference on measuring and monitoring poverty is taking place in Dushanbe tomorrow, according to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade (MoEDT).
An official source at a MoEDT says the conference is initiated by the Council on Identifying Poverty and Middle Class in Tajikistan.
The event is organized by the Ministry of Economic Development jointly with the World Bank Dushanbe Office and the key objective of the conference is in developing the national methodology for measuring poverty.
All interested ministries and agencies, partners for development, commercial and non-government organizations as well as international and local experts are invited to participate in the conference, the source said.
