Dushanbe. 3 September. “Asia Plus” -- President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met with the executive president of Huawei Ms. Amy Lin in China.
During the meeting both sides have exchanged the views on the draft Huawei "Safe City", implemented in Dushanbe. This project is a part of a larger joint project called "Smart City" and "Electronic Government".
Emomali Rakhmon thanked the company for a large contribution to the information infrastructure of the republic and emphasized the project "Safe City" successfully implemented in the city of Dushanbe. Thanks to this project in the city has significantly reduced the number of road accidents and generally improved security level in the city. The President expressed hope for further cooperation in the project "Smart City" and "Electronic Government".
Amy Lin made special mention of the rapid growth of development level in all spheres of the republic''s economy in recent years under the leadership of Emomali Rahmon. As a major partner of Tajikistan in the field of information and communication, technology company Huawei plans to introduce the latest solutions and technologies in the framework of the "Smart City". In addition, in order to strengthen further strategic cooperation, Huawei is also assisting in specialists training in the field of communicational technologies for the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The Huawei company is the first and only Chinese company, included in the rating "Best global brands 2014" (according to Interbrand). In 2015, the company has entered the list of "the 100 largest companies in the world." At the moment more than a third of the world population uses technologies of Huawei Company.
