Tajikistan’s privately owned Soon Air has resumed flights from Dushanbe to Khujand, the capital of the northern Sughd province.

The first flight is expected to be held on November 29.  A ticket for this flight reportedly costs 413.00 somonis.

To-date, Tajikistan has resumed regular flights from Dushanbe to Istanbul (Turkey) and Dubai (United Arab Emirates).

Besides, Tajik air carriers are currently operating charter flights to the Russian Federation to repatriate Tajik nationals who have been stranded there due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Somon Air is the first private airline in Tajikistan with an office headquartered in Dushanbe.  The airline operations are based at Dushanbe International Airport.  The airline started operating on February 5, 2008 with regular flights to Moscow and Dubai.  Somon Air also serves as the official carrier of President of the Republic of Tajikistan and other Tajikistan high-ranking officials.
