Turkish Foreign Minister has noted contribution of Turkish businesspeople to further expansion bilateral cooperation between Turkey and Tajikistan.

Cavusoglu, who was in Dushanbe on a three-day official visit in late March, said on Twitter after his meeting with Turkish businesspeople in the Tajik capital, “In Dushanbe, we first evaluated the cooperation opportunities with our businesspeople, who make significant contributions to our relations with Tajikistan.”

The foreign minister said at the meeting that the vibrant Turkish business community strengthens Ankara's relations with Tajikistan.

Between 2009 and 2019, Turkey reportedly made investments to the tune of US$200 million in Tajikistan.

In 2020, the bilateral trade between the two countries valued at US$322 million.

Moreover, Turkish contractors have undertaken 52 projects worth $660 million in the country, according to Anadolu Agency.
