Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Hokim Kholikzoda and Deputy Head of the Central Bank of Russia Ruslan Vesterovsky signed an agreement on joint counteraction to computer attacks, the press service of the Tajik regulator reports.

During the virtual meeting, Kholikzoda expressed satisfaction with the effective cooperation of the Central Banks of the two countries, noting that Russia is one of the main trade, economic and financial partners of Tajikistan.

He called the signed agreement a timely and necessary step to protect the banking system of the two countries from information threats.

Ruslan Vesterovsky noted that the development and signing of the document meets the interests of the banking systems of the two countries in countering cyber attacks.

It was also emphasized at the meeting that the agreement reached will create favorable conditions for a greater exchange of information and experience to prevent and counter hacker attacks.
