President Emomali Rahmon began a three-day working visit to Sughd on February 8 and the city of Buston (formerly Chkalovsk) was the first leg of his trip to northern Tajikistan.
Emomali Rahmon, in particular, attended an official reopening ceremony of a jewelry production enterprise Zari Sughd (Gold of Sughd), which is one of seven manufacturing enterprises of the State Unitary Enterprise (SUE) Fuluzoti Nodiri Tojikiston (Rare Metals of Tajikistan), according to the Tajik president’s official website.
Zari Sughd reopened after modernization; the state-of-the-art equipment from Russia and Turkey was installed at the enterprise. 30 persons ow work at this jewelry production enterprise.
Besides, the head of state inaugurated the Ganjoaf Limited Liability Company (LLC), which is involved in metal processing and production of steel profiles and pipes.
The enterprise was reportedly built on an area of two hectares with money of local entrepreneur Amirjon Samadov. Ganjofar has created twenty new jobs for local residents.
As it was reported earlier, the head of state today also attended an official opening ceremony of the Limited Liability Company Nourtez (Nourtez LLC) in Buston
Nourtez LLC will produce more than 40 types of nails of various shapes and sizes. The enterprise has an annual capacity of producing 3,600 tons of nails. It was established by local entrepreneurs the Akramov brothers. A total cost of this project is 15.3 million somonis.
According to the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies (MoINT), Tajikistan’s annual requirements in nails are 8,000 tons.
Nourtez LLC is reportedly the second enterprise in Tajikistan producing rolled nails; the first one was built in Buston in 2019.
