DUSHANBE, February 19, Asia-Plus -- An operation on providing humanitarian aid to crisis-hit Tajikistan is carried out by Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations under coordination of the Russia’s Ministry of foreign Affairs, Kamil Magomedov, Second Secretary, Russian Embassy in Dushanbe, told Asia-Plus on Tuesday.
According to him, the first bulk of the assistance will be airlifted at the Dushanbe airport on February 19 and the second bulk will arrive on February 21.
Senior representatives from Tajikistan’s Committee for Emergency Situations (CES) and the Russian Ambassador to Tajikistan Ramazan Abdulatipov will attend a ceremony of handover of the humanitarian aid, Magomedov said. .
