KHOROG, April 28, Asia-Plus -- Five fires have been reported in Gorno Badakhshan over the first three months of this year, which is five cases fewer than in the same period of last year, Anvar Sholangarov, the deputy head of the GBAO firefighting service, told a press conference in Khorog, on April 25.
According to him, a damage caused by this year’s fires has amounted to 7,700 somonis.
Over the report period, inspectors from the GBAO firefighting service have inspected 1,146 residential buildings and as well as 561 enterprises and organizations in the region for compliance with fire safety requirements.
“428 householders have been reprimanded and 92 legal entities have been fined a total of 15,000 somonis for not fulfilling the fire safety requirements,” Sholangarov said.
