DUSHANBE, October 20, 2008, Asia-Plus -- Sergeant Odina Davlatov, an officers from the police department in Dushanbe’s Sino district, has been killed.
According to the Ministry of Interior (MoI), Sergeant Odina Davlatov, who was guarded the branch of Orienbonk on the Vladimir Mayakovsky Street in the Sino district, was shot dead on October 19, between 5:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.
“The criminal probably entered the building, took police officer’s pistol and shot him in the head,” Mahmadullo Asadulloyev, a spokesman for a MoI, said, refraining from giving further details of the crime.
A special operational group, led by Deputy Interior Minister, Sharif Nazarov, has been set up to investigate into the crime.
