DUSHANBE, May 16, 2009, Asia-Plus – A Tajik worker was killed in a brawl on a construction site in Moscow, a city police source told Itar-Tass on Friday.
He said the incident happened at 22, Tverskaya Street. “Two natives of Tajikistan had a brawl on the construction site behind the Minsk Hotel. One of them received numerous injuries and died at hospital,” the policeman said.
In his words, it was a brawl between two men only. “Media reports claiming up to ten people engaged in fighting are wrong,” he said.
Criminal proceedings were instituted on the murder charges and an investigation is under way.
