DUSHANBE, July 15, 2009, Asia-Plus -- The Government of India has donated a cash assistance of 200,000 US dollars as humanitarian assistance to the Government of Tajikistan for mitigation of damages caused by heavy rainfall and floods in May and June 2009, according to the Indian Embassy in Dushanbe.
The amount has been transferred to the beneficiary account specially opened by the Tajik Government for this purpose.
The Embassy of India expresses solidarity with the people and the Government of Tajikistan in this difficult times caused by the vagaries of nature.
