DUSHANBE, April 20, 2010, Asia-Plus -- A minor tremor measuring 2.0 on a 12-point scale could be felt in Dushanbe yesterday evening, at 7:54 pm, according to the Dushanbe seismology station.
The source says a magnitude 3.0 earthquake was centered in the Varzob district, some 30 kilometers northeast of Dushanbe. No injured or damaged was reported, according to the source
We will recall that a minor quake measuring 2.0 on the 12-point scale could be felt in the Tajik capital on the night of April 18-19 as well. A magnitude 5.3 earthquake centered in the Afghan Samangan province, some 365 kilometers southwest of Dushanbe, reportedly killed 7 people and left more than 50 injured as more than 300 houses collapsed.
