DUSHANBE, May 12, 2010, Asia-Plus -- The Dushanbe mayor’s office has decided to fund construction of 100 houses for the disaster-hit residents of the city of Kulob, Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor‘s office said.
According to him, the houses are expected to be built until October 1 this year. Besides, the Dushanbe trade and markets department has decided to send clothing, food products and household stuff to Kulob for the disaster-hit population once a week, on Saturdays.
Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev ordered to establish close interaction between local entrepreneurs and owners of Dushanbe’s private markets on providing humanitarian aid to the Kulob residents who suffered severe damage to their homes, the spokesman said.
