KHOROG, May 12, 2010, Asia-Plus -- Employees of the federally funded organizations in Gorno Badakhshan have decided to give up their one-day wages to support the disaster-hit residents of Kulob, deputy GBAO governor, Aziz Giyoyev, said in an interview with Asia-Plus.
According to him, meetings of managers of local enterprises and organizations have decided to transfer their one-day wages to the account, opened Tajikistan’s savings bank, Amonatbonk, to receive funds for the Kulob disaster relief efforts.
“According to the preliminary estimates, a total amount of one-day wages of the federally funded organizations operating in the region is more than 100,000 somoni,” Giyoyev said, adding that another assistance will also be provided to the disaster-hit people within the limits of the possible.
