DUSHANBE, August 24, 2010, Asia-Plus -- By Russian President Dmitry Medvedev’s instruction Russian special services will help Tajikistan find and detain the escaped prisoners, Russia’s Itar Tass reports.
“By instruction of the president of Russia Russian special services will provide all kinds of assistance to find and detain the escaped prisoners,” the Federal Security Service (FSB) director Aleksandr Bortnikov told Itar Tass on Monday.
Bortnikov is now the chairman of the council of the heads of law enforcement agencies of the CIS states.
We will recall that Qosim Gafarov, the first deputy head of the State for national Security of Tajikistan, told reporters in Dushanbe yesterday that they have sent a request to their colleagues in Russia and Afghanistan, asking for help in finding and detaining the prisoners who broke out of the detention center in Dushanbe Monday morning today.
