DUSHANBE, July 27, 2011, Asia-Plus -- The Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense (CES) has asked the Government to hand the anti-hail service, which is currently under jurisdiction of the Committee for Environmental Protection, to its jurisdiction.
The CES official says relevant ministries and organizations are currently considering that proposal.
He also noted that some 5 million somoni have been allocated this year for purchase of special equipment for CES.
Over the first six months of this year, foreign donors and international organizations have purchased equipment for some 430,000 euros for Tajik CES, the source added.
