DUSHANBE, August 24, 2011, Asia-Plus -- The Ministry of Interior has launched probe into death of six workers of the Dushanbe-based limited liability company Kuhandiz (Dushanbe tannery).
The tragedy took place yesterday evening. The Interior Ministry spokesman Mahmadullo Asadulloyev says the Kuhandiz employees Mirzomahmoud Mahmoudov, Jourabek Mirzoyev, Tuychibek Abdurahmonov, Navrouz Zuhurov, Amriddin Shonouridinov and Ahmadbek Khudoidodov got carbon monoxide poisoning while cleaning pipes in the basement and died on the spot.
Four other workers got various degrees of carbon monoxide poisoning and were taken to hospitals, the spokesman added.
