Police officers have prevented one more suicide attempt in Dushanbe.

A 24-year-old woman threw herself into the river in the night of February 25 following family quarrel, according to the Interior Ministry press center.

Police officers who patrolled a section of the riverbank pulled the woman out of the river and sent her to a hospital.

Doctors reportedly assess the woman’s health as satisfactory.

Recall, another suicide attempt was reported in Dushanbe in early February.  A young woman jumped off the bridge into the river in the afternoon of February 5 in the area near the state-run printer Sharqi Ozod.  She was also rescued by a police officer who was next to the bridge at that time.
