QURGHON TEPPA, June 18, Asia-Plus -- Officers from anticorruption agency’s directorate for Khatlon have detained Lieutenant-Colonel Rahmatullo Mamedov, the head of the criminal investigation squad of the Khatlon regional police directorate for corruption.
The Khatlon anticorruption directorate chief Sirojiddin Nourov told Asia-Plus that Mamedov was ought red-handed when he was taking $1,000 in bribe from Manouchehr Sabzov late Saturday for promise to drop his criminal case.
“The preliminary investigation established that Mamedov had aerially received $3000 in bribe from Sabzov,” Nourov said.
