KHOROG, Aril 23, Asia-Plus -- Officers from the GBAO polic directorate arrested Rajabov, the resident of the Varzob district, yesterday.
Mirzo Dorobov, a spokesman for the GBAO police directorate, told Asia-Plus that Rajabov faces charge of fraud. According to him, they have received applications from five residents of GBAO’s Roshtqala district, who complained that Rajabov had taken large amounts of money from them, promising to bring building materials at lower prices and had returned their money.
“Moreover, introducing himself as representative of the construction company Stroyinvest”, Rajabov borrowed 3.5 tons of cement from one of them for allegedly constructing school in the Tusyon village,” the spokesman said.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against Rajabov and an investigation is under way.
