QURGHON TEPPA, June 10 Asia-Plus --Murod Ilyosov, an entrepreneur from Qurghon Teppa, the capital of the Khatlon province faces charge of tax evasion.
According to the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating corruption, Ilyosov who deals with delivering consumer goods to the province has allegedly not paid taxes totaling more than 370,000 somonis.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against him under the provisions of Article 293 of Tajikistan’s Penal Code – tax evasion. If convicted, Ilyosov could face up to two years in prison cited, the source at the anticorruption agency said.
