DUSHANBE, January 22, 2016, Asia-Plus – Resident of the northern province of Sughd has been detained for trafficking Russian tsarist gold coins.
According to the Interior Ministry’s website, a 25-year-old resident of Sughd’s Bobojonghafourov district was detained on January 21 on suspicion of trafficking Russian tsarist gold coins.
Six Russian tsarist gold coins in denomination of 10 rubles totally weighing 51.49 grams were confiscated from him.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against him and an investigation is under way.
