DUSHANBE, June 23, 2016, Asia-Plus – Mirzohayot Taghoyev, a lawyer with one of departments of the Dushanbe mayor’s office, faces corruption charge.
According to the anticorruption agency press center, Taghoyev has been caught red-handed while taking bribe from a Dushanbe resident for solving his dwelling problems.
Taghoyev was reportedly detained while taking 1,000 U.S. dollars from the applicant. According to the applicant, Taghoyev had earlier received 8,000 U.S. dollars from him.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against Taghoyev and an investigation is under way.
