DUSHANBE, July 11, 2016, Asia-Plus - Tajik customs officers have prevented smuggling of jewelry into Tajikistan out of neighboring Kyrgyzstan, according to the Customs Service press center.
Inspection of people proceeding via the Guliston customs checkpoint on the Tajik-Kyrgyz border in the northern district of Isfara reportedly found 747 grams of jewelry hidden in luggage of two residents of the northern city of Istarvshan.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against them and an investigation is under way.
