DUSHANBE, August 5, 2016, Asia-Plus – Young woman from Sughd’s Bobjonghafourov district and a 40-year-old man from the Roudaki district (districts subordinate to the center) were arrested on August 3 on suspicion of selling a newborn baby, according to the Interior Ministry’s website.
The preliminary investigation has reportedly established that they sold a newborn girl to a 30-year-old woman from the northern city of Guliston (formerly Qiaroqqum) for 3,000 U.S. dollars.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against them and an investigation is under way.
