An employee of the electric supply network of the northern city of Isfara faces embezzlement charges.
According to the Interior Ministry’s office for the Sughd province, a 40-year-old controller of the Isfara power grid has been detained on suspicion of embezzling funds collected from residential customers for electricity.
A source at the Interior Ministry’s office for Sughd says the controller embezzled 14,993 somoni.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the controller and an investigation is under way.
