DUSHANBE, February 22, 2011, Asia-Plus -- Tajikistan is taking measures to evacuate its nationals from Libya, Davlat Nazriyev, head of the Tajik MFA information department, said in an interview with Asia-Plus.
According to him, 21 Tajik nationals are now in Libya. “All of them are students at various Libyan higher educational institutions,” Nazriyev said, noting that part of them are studying at International Islamic University Al-Da’wa in Tripoli.
Since Tajikistan does not have its diplomatic mission in Libya, Tajik Embassy in Cairo is to deal with evacuation of Tajik nationals from Libya, the spokesman added.
