DUSHANBE, April 4, 2011, Asia-Plus  -- An official delegation of the OSCE ambassadors led the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Audronius Ažubalis, has arrived in Dushanbe today.

According to the OSCE Office in Tajikistan, the delegation members include 22 OSCE heads of mission and Director of the OSCE Conflict Prevention Center Herbert Salber.

“Today afternoon, the OSCE ambassadors will visit one of visa and registration offices in Dushanbe to get acquainted with security measures taken by Tajik law enforcement authorities to protect identification documents and with degree of their protection,” the source said.

The OSCE delegation members are also scheduled to hold talks with Speaker of Upper House of Tajikistan’s Parliament Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev, Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi and President Emomali Rahmon.

During the visit that will last until 7, the delegation members are also expected to visit Nizhny Panj in Khatlon province to familiarize themselves with the process of implementation of the border management strengthening strategy.

On April 7, the OSCE delegation will leave Dushanbe for the Kyrgyz capital Bishkek.
