DUSHANBE, August 10, 2011, Asia-Plus - Yesterday Tajik Prime Minister Aqil Aqilov met with the visiting Minister of Communications of Pakistan Arbab Almagir Khan.
According to Tajik PM’s secretariat, the sides met to discuss current relations and prospects of Tajik-Pakistani cooperation in such spheres as communication, economy and trade.
The sides paid special attention to construction of an automobile road that links the two countries, construction of railroads from Turkmenistan to Pakistan through Afghanistan, construction of Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline, to which Tajikistan is planning to joint in the future and CASA-1000 project on transit of energy from Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan to Afghanistan and Pakistan, the source reported.
