DUSHANBE, August 25, 2011, Asia-Plus - Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko is expected to pay an official visit to Tajikistan in mid-October this year.
A well-informed source in the government says 12 cooperation documents will be signed during Lukashenko’s visit to Tajikistan.
“The sides have already coordinated a draft agreement on opening of the branch of Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU) in Dushanbe” said the source. “The branch will train personnel to the energy and construction sectors.”
According to information from the Tajik Embassy in Minsk, more than 50 students from Tajikistan are studying at various higher educational institutions in Belarus.
