DUSHANBE, August 26, 2011, Asia-Plus -- On Thursday August 25, Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi received a delegation of the European Union for international relations, led by Professor Anton Caragea, Director of the European Council on International Relations (ECIR), according to the Tajik MFA information department.
In the course of the talks, Professor Caragea reportedly expressed gratitude for organization of the visit of the delegation and noted the importance of awarding the Leader of XXI Century Award to President Emomali Rahmon.
During the meeting, Zarifi and Caragea also exchanged views on expansion of cooperation between Tajikistan and the European Council. They also considered issues related to bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Romania.
Representative of the delegation of the European Council informed Tajik minister of an experience of Romania in developing hydropower engineering and offered to establish bilateral cooperation in that area, the source added.
