DUSHANBE, February 15, 2012, Asia-Plus  -- On the sidelines of the 25th International Islamic Unity Conference that took place in Tehran on February 8-10, Islamic Revival Party (IRP) leader Muhiddin Kabiri, who is also deputy of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament), met with a group of Tajik students studying at higher educational institutions in Iran, IRP’s head office in Dushanbe said.

During the meeting, Kabiri reportedly noted that Tajikistan expected students studying abroad would make a considerable contribution to development of homeland.

Asked why some prominent persons left the party after reestablishment of peace and accord in Tajikistan, Muhiddin Kabiri noted that such process was natural for political parties.  He, however, stressed that there were single such instances, the source said.

According to him, IRP leader added that anyway, the party doors are open to those persons who had left it for some reason or other.

We will recall that the 25th International Islamic Unity Conference aimed to prepare ground for consolidation of unity and solidarity among the Islamic nations and finding solutions to the problems facing the world of Islam.

Russia, France, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tunisia, Lebanon, Malaysia, Sudan, the United States, Pakistan, India, Thailand, Sweden, Azerbaijan, Britain, Denmark, Jordan, Iraq, Indonesia, Turkey, Afghanistan, the UAE, Gambia, Senegal and Yemen are among the participating countries.
