DUSHANBE, March 25, 2012, Asia-Plus -- Senior officials from the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the United States will hold the next meeting of their trilateral Core Group on the sidelines of the fifth Regional Economic Cooperation Conference for Afghanistan (RECCA V) at the Afghan Embassy in Dushanbe on March 25, press release issued by the U.S. Embassy in Dushanbe said.
Issues to be discussed will include the Afghan peace process and follow up of His Excellency President Karzai’s visit to Islamabad in February 2012, to promote a credible Afghan-led and Afghan-owned peace process for reconciliation and durable peace in Afghanistan.
Afghanistan will be represented by Mr. Jawed Ludin, Deputy Foreign Minister, Pakistan will be represented by Mr. Jalil Abbas Jilani, Foreign Secretary and the United States will be represented by Mr. Marc Grossman, special representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan.
