Latvia’s (Parliament) Saeima has set up a group of friendship and cooperation with Tajikistan’s Parliament.
In his interview to AP Deputy Chairman of the Majlisi milli of the Majlisi Oli of Tajikistan Shavkat Saidov said the group consists of 6 Latvian parliamentarians and is headed by Alexander Sakovsky.
“In her official letter to speaker of the Upper Chamber of Tajkistan’s Parliament Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloev Saeima’s Speaker Solvita Aboltina expressed confidence that the newly set up group will strengthen interparliamentary relations and development of cooperation between the two states,” Saidov reported.
He said that similar group of cooperation with Latvia’s Saeima was set up by the Tajik parliament last year. The group is headed by member of the Upper Chamber of the country’s Parliament Ubaidullo Kurbonov.
