DUSHANBE, August 11,2 012, Asia-Plus – On Friday August 10, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon received credentials of six ambassadors of Turkmenistan, Japan, France, Romania, the South African Republican and the Sovereign Order of Malta, the president’s official website reports.
Emomali Rahmon welcomed the new ambassadors, wishing them success in their assignment of taking their countries’ relations with Tajikistan to new heights.
President Rahmon, in particular, noted that Turkmenistan was one of important partners of Tajikistan within the CIS area and expressed confidence that his forthcoming visit to Ashgabat would give a new impulse to further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
The Tajik head of state reportedly also expressed satisfaction with development of relations of Tajikistan with France, Japan, Romania and the South African Republican.
Rahmon also highly appraised position of the Sovereign Order of Malta on international arena, which is based on humanitarian and non-political principles and policy of non-interference, the source said.
