DUSHANBE, October 23, 2012, Asia-Plus -- Tajik President Emomali Rahmon is departing for Helsinki, Finland on an official visit today afternoon.
A well-informed source in the Tajik government says that during his stay in Helsinki, Tajik leader is scheduled to hold talks with Finnish President Sauli Vainamo Niinisto and other high-ranking Finnish state officials to discuss cooperation issues.
President Rahmon’s visit to Finland is expected to result in signing of a number of bilateral cooperation documents.
Tajikistan and Finland reportedly established diplomatic relations in September 1992.
