President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon today hosted Jin Litsun, President of the Asian Bank for Infrastructure Investment (AIIB), in the capital's Palace of Nation.
At the meeting, it was noted that for almost 5 years, the AIIB has been involved in investing in various infrastructure projects in Asian countries, including Tajikistan, the press service of the head of state reports,
The interlocutors noted the cooperation between Tajikistan and AIIB in financing investment projects, in particular the project “Improving the condition of the Dushanbe-Tursunzade highway - the border of Uzbekistan”.
The support provided by the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank for the modernization of the Nurek hydroelectric station was also noted.
The parties expressed confidence that the AIIB will take part in investment projects in the fields of transport, energy and other priority sectors for Tajikistan.
