The representative of the Tajik parliament believes that on the Tajik-Kyrgyz border it would be calmer today if the authorities brought the instigators of unrest to justice on time.

Presidents, parliamentarians, members of the government of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan calmly discuss issues of disputed territories on the border of two states, but problems are not solved there.

«Some groups of citizens, especially the neighboring state, are not listening to anyone on this issue, it seems to them that by throwing stones at each other the problem will be solved», - said the head of the Tajik parliament’s defense and security committee, major general, doctor of legal sciences Jurakhon Majidzoda.

The MP is sure that every conflict on the border exacerbates the resolution of the issue.

«If both Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan had previously brought to justice the instigators of unrest at the border, today it would have been much calmer. The inaction of the authorities, especially in border areas, creates a sense of impunity among some citizens», - the MP noted.
