A new building of Uzbekistan’s Embassy in Dushanbe is expected to be constructed by October 2022, according to Gazeta.uz.  

Uzbekistan’s Cabinet of Ministers approved government’s regulation on construction of a new building of the diplomatic mission in Dushanbe on September 18.  The new building of the Uzbek Embassy in Dushanbe is expected to officially open on October 1, 2022. 

A plot of 1,2 hectares has reportedly been allotted for construction of the diplomatic mission building in accordance with a government-to-government agreement between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan on the mutual provision of sites for construction buildings of diplomatic missions, which was signed in August last year.  

In accordance with the agreement, the site for construction the building of the Tajik Embassy in the Uzbek capital has been allotted in Tashkent’s Sebzor district.
